We are not being given the data. We gain by increasing the rate and presumably we lose some FDI. The government/IBEC/ESRI must have gamed this. What are the projections? ibec_irl ESRIDublin

For goodness sake put it up to 15% and use the proceeds to improve healthcare, housing and education. The FDI companies are not going to leave. Where else will they find English language and a huge pool of EU talent? Ireland is the perfect EU HQ for English speaking US companies

The EU runs ireland

We were promised in 2nd Lisbon treaty referendum...at least for the EU...We would have sovereign rights over our tax rates....We could veto any attempt by EU to change them....

Ireland does not have to make any case it is our sovereign right to set our own tax rates.

He has a nice whitecollar

12.5% for the poor corporations. 20% and 40% for the citizen.

No he won't, he will roll over like a big pussycat for his eu masters
