PUTRAJAYA: The fourth phase of the national Covid-19 immunisation programme beginning on Wednesday (June 16) will target industry workers, says Khairy Jamaluddin.

The programme’s coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin said it is meant to reduce the number of infections in workplaces as workplace outbreaks continue to dominate the number of new clusters every day.

“This is why we made the decision for the fourth phase, or the pandemic control phase, to kick off as soon as possible to reduce the number of workplace clusters and stop the transmission of infections among workers," he added. “This is important to achieve the balance between lives and livelihoods,” said Khairy, at the weekly Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force press conference here.
