Claire Louise Hooker uses social media to give people a glimpse into her life in a large family. But she has been 'bombarded' with hateful comments by trolls.

"I'm only human and I have my off days and I might read something and think, 'oh that doesn't make me feel too good'.Ms Hooker said for the most part she can rise above the negativity, choosing to focus on her "healthy and happy family," but ultimately she believes social media companies could do more to crack down on trolls who target women online.

He said it was an "unrealistic but interesting" idea to consider the way the social media landscape would change if companies directed the same amount of resources to welfare as they did to data gathering and selling ads. "We see people of colour, they face incredibly racialised attacks online, LGBTQI people face queerphobic and homophobic attacks, and people with disabilities face a high level of targeted attacks too," he said

Anti-bullying advocate Jacinta Dubojski is calling on women to speak out about the hurtful comments against them online. "And it may be that you just keep going, and you don't talk about it. But that's when people crumble and suicides and hospitalisations can happen, and other terrible things. The plea from Ms Hooker and many others who suffer abuse has been echoed by powerful women,, in an open letter to the chief executives of Facebook, Google, TikTok and Twitter.

Quite simple. If social media is affecting your mental health then stop using it. Maybe you shouldn't be there in the first place. But if you are there already be prepared for the good and bad. Highly unlikely the world is going to change for you but it's you who must adapt.

If there wasn’t Social Media there wouldn’t be trolls

I have always said child benefits from the government should reduce after third child and none after five. Having nine and kids having to share divided attention shows why the world is like it is today

We need laws to protect children who are put on social media platforms without being able to recognise the implications of this short and long term. Children shouldn't be put on social media.

The greatest threat to humanity is overpopulation however Religious leaders encourage overpopulation to ensure the next generation of income from tithes and access to children. Governments encourage overpopulation to enhance the wage bargaining power of industrialists.

Citizens of the planet are afforded 30 basic human rights by the Universal Charter of Human Rights. The right to be offended is NOT one of them. Religious texts stipulate multiple instances where offence must be taken ensuring ongoing warfare for millennia.
