There are concerns for shoppers who visited Prahran Market in Melbourne over the weekend after an infected person visited seven stores, as exposure sites balloon to nearly 400 and case numbers continue to grow in the city.

Department of Health and Human Services said the traders visited includes: Pete n Rosie's Deli, Q le Baker, Prahran Seafoods, John Cester's Poultry and Game, Gary's Quality Meats, Reliable Fruit and Veg and Market Lane Coffee.

However, all staff within the market, have been forced into isolation for 14 days from the date of exposure after it was deemed as a Tier 1 site.Prahran Markets said they will be closed indefinitely and reopen once it is safe to do so, noting the health and safety of customers is their priority. A number of Coles stores in Roxburgh Park and Bentleigh as well as a Woolworths in Caufield North are among new venues of concern listed overnight.

Of the 107 total cases in the latest outbreak, 96 are directly linked to the Sydney removalists who worked in two suburbs while infectious.
