ISKANDAR PUTERI: The Transport Ministry has obtained approval from the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) to open additional industry vaccination centres (PPVIN).

Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said presently, there were six PPVIN operating throughout the country to support the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

Dr Wee also added the PPVIN RedQ has also been opened on July 30 for the purpose of expediting vaccination for 2,500 AirAsia employees. “There will also be additional doses for Port Klang to expedite vaccinations for seafarers, port workers and logistics sector employees,” he added. Dr Wee said this would ensure that all frontline workers in the maritime and logistics sector, especially in the state, were being vaccinated as soon as possible.
