Parasite wasn't a traditional Oscar contender. Now, the company behind it is preparing for another big awards season.

and star were in attendance at Neon’s party on Sunday, chatting about the film and the festival. Stewart, in town for just 48 hours, was attending Telluride for the first time, and said she hopes to come back without a project to promote so she can just spend the days watching movies.

Stewart will likely be very busy for the next few months, with her incandescent performance as Princess Diana primed to land her her first Oscar nomination in the best-actress race. As an imaginative story about three days in Diana’s life, featuring fantasy elements and unexpected plotlines that explore Diana’s inner struggles, the film required an actor who could carry the project on her shoulders.

“It was a huge risk,” says Quinn of the film. “They all left everything on the table. But seeing the response is absolutely the reward. I’m thrilled. It’s a movie about something that is difficult, and they do it in a way that I think pushes the boundaries of what cinema can be.”Because it’s not a traditional biopic, which are often a staple of the Oscar race, will have its detractors and critics. Already the festival audience did seem split on it.

’s early buzz and a clever marketing strategy thus far, there’s major anticipation building around what could be a strong contender in the directing, screenplay, and crafts categories as well. The Danish filmmaker’s animated documentary, in which a gay man recounts his experience as an Afghan refugee, won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

Neon also has two French-language films that they’ll attempt to push this season. The first is Sciamma’sWith 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a next stop at the Toronto International Film Festival, there’s the possibility the film, which follows an eight-year-old girl who helps her parents clean out her grandmother’s home, could continue to be a part of the conversation.
