Conservative MP Dan Albas said the Liberals are missing an opportunity to take a bolder stance and Guilbeault should be a much more ardent backer of the technology.Article content Gorman says solar, wind are great technologies, improving all the time, but nuclear has to be part of the equation to meet the coming increased demands for electricity.Article content

Ken Darlington, a vice-president with USNC, said their reactor is a test of the technology, but it’s smaller scale, something that could be used in remote communities or in mines.Article content “There has been financial support to nuclear projects in Canada over the last couple of years. If the Liberals were serious about climate change and not in the pockets of solar and wind companies, than they’d clearly support nuclear.

It was a stupid, obviously-false answer as an attempt to avoid answering a question. Leaving power gen to the market means gas and coal.

More and more, the Liberal 'plan' seems to be brownouts and blackouts while we wait for the wind to blow and the sun to shine.

Either there is a climate emergency or there isn't. To the extent we opt for improvement, why not go for an energy source that is (1) clean, (2) reliable and (3) safe? Answer: that would be nuclear. If you want markets to dictate the form, stop all subsidies to solar and wind

The Liberal Government is disarming the Canadian people from all reason and accountability skills

nuclear... stupid beyond belief

The sold it off to SNC Lacalin to help their buddies.

As a Conservative I am appalled that they would leave this to the market! We should have more government intervention instead
