Rochelle Gordon, the nurse that was tasked with overseeing patients, who were moved from Life Esidimeni to NGOs told the inquest. 144 mental ill patients lost their lives following the move in 2016. On Thursday, Gordon told the inquest that she did what she had to do to avoid being charged with insubordination.inquest seeks to probe on whether there are individuals that could be criminally charged for the deaths“Mental health care users become attached to the environment quickly, and now they have to adapt to a new environment. So it is very important to re-assure them that everything will be okay.
