The Minister for Public Service and Administration, Ayanda Dlodlo, says lifestyle audits will be compulsory for all national and provincial departments from the first of next month. lifestyleaudit corruption

The people who will be subjected to the lifestyle audits include decision-makers in the supply chain management processes, senior managers from directors up to director-generals in the public service.

“We’ve appointed ethics officers who are responsible for ensuring that ethics in the public service are maintained. If there are further issues, we then ask forensic auditors to assist the lifestyle audits of the individual. So its an involved process that ultimately should lead to investigation by law enforcement and prosecution by the NPA.”
