. Winde has raised the alarm that the province is lagging far behind the rest of the country in the 2022 census count.Winde says it’s worrying that there are just two days left until the extended count comes to an end on the 30th of this month. “If you are not counted, we don’t know what the numbers are and as government it’s very difficult to plan from the budgetary point of view. If we don’t get the numbers right, we might not get the right tax allocation to our province to fund education and health to make sure we have got the money for jobs and for safety and dignity for the programmes that we as government need to implement,” says Winde.
