Four fire engines were sent out to tackle a fire at a business premises in Blackpool this morning.

Crews from South Shore, St Annes and Blackpool were called to Decke Ceilings & Partitions on Harrington Avenue at around 5.25am. Drone pictures from scene taken by JC Photography showed a large emergency services presence on the street.

The road was blocked in both directions as firefighters tackled the blaze. Police and ambulance vehicles were also in attendance.Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters used breathing apparatus, hose reels and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. The cause of the blaze has not been reported and crews remain at the scene.

In a statement a LFRS spokesperson said: "At 05:25 on the 30th June 2022, four fire engines from South Shore, St Annes, Blackpool attended an incident on Harrington Avenue, Blackpool. The fire involved a fire at a commercial property. "Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used three hose reels and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. Crews currently remain in attendance."

LancsLive has contacted North West Ambulance Service to check for any injuries. Decke Ceilings & Partitions is listed as 'permanently closed' on Google.
