A South African company now rents high-end homes to guests who want to stay in lavish surroundings with rare original artwork on the walls.

Like Airbnb for the wealthy, the company hand selects the most discerning, carefully curated homes to include on the platform.Here's what to expect from the fanciest homes currently available to rent.A Cape Town luxury rental company is renting out high-end homes to some of the country's most discerning visitors. They include some of the city's best properties, some with priceless artworks from, among others, Pierneef, Kentridge, and sculptor Dylan Lewis.

Art House Collection co-founder Elana Brundyn, who was instrumental in launching Cape Town's Zeitz MOCAA and Norval Foundation museums, says she founded the company alongside veteran writer Michelle Snaddon to showcase uniquely curated art collections in spectacular spaces. "I wanted to give curious travellers access to beautiful spaces that I knew had been curated with intent. That's how the idea of Art House Collection was born."
