The Coalition for Truth and Justice has accused the management of Dangote Cement of a plot to disrupt peace and security in Kogi State. The group said rather than address the issues raised by the state government, the company has resorted to name-calling and underarm tactics, ultimately causing turmoil and a threat to security.

The ownership of the company, originally Obajana Cement Company Plc, has been in contention since after it was renamed Dangote Cement Company Plc. The group further alleged that the ongoing fuel scarcity in Abuja had been caused by Dangote trucks, which they claimed have been used to block traffic flow.

“The resulting Specialized Technical Committee on the Evaluation of the Legality of the Alleged Acquisition of Obajana Cement Company Plc by Dangote Cement Company Limited concluded that the transfer of Obajana Cement Company Plc to Dangote Industries Limited was invalid, null, and void.”
