The leader of ActionSA Herman Mashaba has dismissed his long time political ally Mmusi Maimane's political ambition of having independent candidates participating in the 2024 national elections as something that will not fly and more confusing.

ActionSA Party Leader Herman Mashaba.has dismissed his long time political ally Mmusi Maimane’s political ambition of having independent candidates participating in the 2024 national elections as something that will not fly and more confusing.

He was speaking in an exclusive interview with the SABC News on the recent political developments from the collapse of coalition governments to whether it will be possible to work with the ANC in future. After leaving the DA, Maimane went to form One South Africa Movement which advocated for independent candidates to contest future national elections.Meanwhile ActionSA Leader, Herman Mashaba, is blaming the Democratic Alliance for a possible collapse of all coalition governments in Gauteng Metros.

This follows the ousting of Joburg Council Speaker last month, and the subsequent vote of no confidence in Mayor Dr. Mpho Phalatse last week in a council meeting which ActionSA did not attend.
