A farm attack took place during the early morning hours on 15 October 2022, at Manderston Dairy Farm situated in the Thornville area in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. A farmer and his family were attacked in their home by six armed attackers who severely assaulted him.The attackers robbed the family of personal belongings and also made off with a rifle safe containing 3 rifles, cash and bank cards.

On 17 October 2022, the Magma Security Investigation Team initiated an investigation into the matter. On 21 October 2022, Magma Investigation team made a breakthrough in the case. Thornville Detectives and Magma members engaged in an operation where seven suspects were arrested.
