The UK economy shrank in the third quarter, signaling the start of a recession that is likely to hit Europe next

. UK GDP fell 0.2% between July and September, ending five consecutive quarters of growth, the Office for National Statistics said on Friday. The United Kingdom is the only G7 economy to have contracted in the third quarter and is now 0.4% smaller than it was at the end of 2019, before the coronavirus pandemic began, according to the ONS. “The quarterly fall was driven by manufacturing, which saw widespread declines across most industries.

It now expects inflation to peak at the end of the year at a rate of 8.5%. “As inflation keeps cutting into households’ disposable incomes, the contraction of economic activity is set to continue in the first quarter of 2023,” the Commission said in a statement. Still, the Commission expects GDP growth in the euro area to remain positive next year and in 2024.

Nope! Christmas and the World cup will stop that happening!

No kidding ? …Have you hired a rocket scientist to write this article? I bet no one was seeing that a recession was coming … specifically in Europe…

a big evidence that Russian is winning the war,

you shouldn´t compare the uk economy to the european economy
