This week I chose the afternoon on Monday because watching Live with Kelly and Ryan has become the lynchpin of my morning routine. But then, by the time I got through the chores of picking up a few groceries and a birthday gift and going to the liquor store, it was nigh on four o’clock. I got the bills in front of me, looked at the phone, thought for a moment or two, and just opened the gin in anticipation of the next morning.
At 11:15, I put the phone back to my ear and started watching TV, already regretting my decision to tackle this in the morning.
