All this means that air fryers are big business around the world. It's now a R13 billion global industry, and South Africans contribute a lot to the pot.

Both supermarkets and several other retailers are offering deals on a wide range of air fryers. Private-label brands, varying volumes, and many other essential and nonessential features make direct comparisons difficult.Picking the best air fryer for your needs is a complex task, as is filtering through the deals stores offer this Black Friday.

Choosing the best appliance from the dozens currently on the market is exhausting. The biggest battle is currently taking place around the R1,000 mark, with most retailers selling decent options at this price point.
