Opinion: In Canada, the idea of a windfall profits tax is gaining ground, with good reason. As families struggle to afford the basics in life, oil and gas companies are making off like bandits.

How about those raking-in-the-profits grocery chains?

Windfall tax on majorly corporations are just going to be pushed off to the consumer in the disguise of higher consumer pricing.

Take a bus poor people

The government is also making off like bandits with additional taxes… Higher prices more gross tax

I disagree

Just stop it the banks control the govt now…… can’t make rules so that no investors will ever. One to Canada except Chinese and United Nations

So we're going full Venezuela? Seizing assets ?

Nope

PMJT & the MP for Carelton would rather bicker over the carbon tax than talk about windfall profit taxes on O&G or grocery store oligarchs. I wonder why eh? Probably b/c both the libs & cons work for the same oligarchs & bickering over the carbon tax is the perfect distraction.
