Oracle Corp. wants to sell a portion of the Agnews Developmental Center, once an infamous psychiatric hospital.

Oracle Corp. has quietly put up for sale part of its Santa Clara campus, including historical buildings that were once part of the infamous Agnews Developmental Center.

Oracle, which put the property up for sale about three weeks ago, intends to hang on to the other 28 acres of the wider site, which is home to some of its research-and-development operations. The portion that Oracle is not putting up for sale includes five office and R&D buildings in the northern part of the Agnews site.

The Business Journal reached out to representatives from Oracle and Eastdil Secured for comment, but both companies declined to speak about the sale.
