Electricity consumers owing the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) unpaid bills are to enjoy 30 per cent discount if they pay before Dec. 31.

The bonanza, code-named “Arrears One-Time Settlement Scheme’’ is to encourage the settlement of the bills and also a gesture to mark the Yuletide period, EEDC’s spokesman, Mr Emeka Ezeh, said on Friday in Enugu.

“Commercial and residential customers, bulk communities, metered and un-metered customers are eligible for the discount scheme.
