The Chair of the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee has said that the committee is"asking questions of RTÉ" in relation to the business model adopted regarding Toy Show The Musical.A number of changes have been made to the schedule this week, with a reduced number of shows taking place.
Yesterday, a spokesperson for the show said in a statement:"It was with deep regret that due to illness in the cast and crew Toy Show The Musical had to cancel a number of shows on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 of December. "However, with this it does appear to have fallen short in terms of what kind of market research was done, has it been moving into a crowded market with all the Christmas shows that are on, particularly around Dublin?
Speaking on RTÉ's Today with Claire Byrne, he said:"We have a very young cast, they’re mainly children. It’s very much a show led by children for children.
RTE….No accountability….tax payers money…license fee…..incompetency……🙄 . Will we ever learn in this country?
Sheesh. They will question this! .....but day and daily pravda-RTE is allowed to deliberately mislead the Irish public and withold stories which should be of paramount importance.
