Sam Bankman-Fried, the disgraced founder of bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, is set to appear in person in a Manhattan federal court

Bankman-Fried, known as SBF, is charged with eight criminal counts ranging from wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering, to conspiracy by misusing customer funds. He is expected to plead not guilty and could face up to 115 years in prison if convicted on all charges. Last month, a US judge released him on a $250 million bond in his first appearance on American soil since his arrest in the Bahamas, where he lived and ran his businesses.

FTX and Alameda both filed for bankruptcy in December after investors rushed to pull their deposits from the exchange, sparking a liquidity crisis and triggering contagion and panic across the crypto industry. Two senior executives associated with the collapse — Gary Wang, the co-founder of FTX, and Caroline Ellison, who served as Alameda’s CEO — have since pleaded guilty to multiple criminal charges and are cooperating with federal prosecutors, according to unsealed court records.

Who give a shit. The one who stole Mobile phone will serve 5 year in prison but the one who stole billion of $ will stay at home and ask confidentiality of his lawyer. What a great law it is.

Luna......? What part was played. This guy I'd ring leader ci

Bankman-Fried's only crime, like Bernard Madoff, is that he was caught before all other speculators. Capitalism is just a big Ponzi scheme; it doesn’t matter where you are located in this pyramid. Capitalists must commit crimes: their survival depends on making profit quickly.

Investigate the money trail.

Shame that he’s probably going to die before he gets the chance

The death sentences for MohammadMehdiKarami & MohammadHosseini are affirmed in the Islamic Republic’s “Supreme Court” from the case for protests on Hadis Najafi’s 40th day in Karaj. These two’s precious lives are extremely in danger.

Like all people I was born free from sin and crime, why did the environment and people attack me like most people, forcing them to sin and be criminals? We can and have a right to defend ourselves against this! Even with protective services!

Is he really ‘disgraced’ in every interview he’s sounded arrogant and avoided responsibility
