A former Wells Fargo executive is now leading the way for BMO in Dallas.

Expect BMO Financial Group to be a more aggressive brand locally in 2023, particularly with a new regional leader on board aimed at growing the bank's presence in DFW.

BMO announced earlier this year it plans to hire another 50 people in Irving for a tech hub. Roles will be across development, cybersecurity, engineering and financial crimes units, among others. "When you combine great people with a full-service platform that has a huge runway in one of the best growth markets in the country, how can you say no?" Riley said.

The way that we have realized that as we have grown to date, the enterprise has put product partners close to us. I don't have to teleport my capital markets banker from New York, Chicago, Los Angeles or San Francisco to Dallas. He's here.
