Negotiations aimed at averting a nurses strike at two major New York City hospitals went past a midnight deadline with a walk-out by 7,000 nurses looming as soon as 6 a.m. ET Monday.

Tentative deals had been reached in recent days covering nurses at several hospitals, including two that reached deals late Sunday evening. But Mount Sinai hospital in Manhattan and Montefiore in the Bronx now face a strike as the 11:59 p.m. ET deadline for a deal came and went. The New York State Nurses Association said it planned to walk out at 6 a.m. ET if a deal wasn’t reached. Early Monday morning, Mount Sinai said efforts to reach an agreement with the union had failed.

The affected hospitals plan on paying temporary “traveling” nurses to fill in where possible and some had already begun transferring patients. Montefiore released a notice to staff, obtained by CNN, telling nurses how to quit the union and stay on the job if they wanted to continue to care for their patients.

Ahhhh the great benefits of unions.

Imagine being deathly I’ll and the nurse who swore an oath to help patients walks out on you

Interesting 🤔

While the politicians of countries claiming human rights are only watching the execution of Iranian youth by the mullahs' regime. The people of Iran are trying to prevent the execution of two innocent youths. MohammadBroghani MohammadGhobadloo dwnews

They might have more nurses if they hadn’t forced them all to get the Covid “vaccine”!!!

Maybe they should have a dance off?

More natural selection, if nurses don't work. Is that good or bad?
