Paid $20 for. A hotdog and come and $10 per small beer but objects to $60 for a dedicated car ride…

Gee. No-one could've seen this coming when the industry was deregulated to allow thieving foreign owned 'disrupters' like ride share companies in, could they?

Much more damaging to the ABC brand is the lack of a daily coverage of the Robodebt hearings. We saw what level of attention you devoted to the death and funeral of QE2. The evidence being given at these hearings is thousands of times more important for all Australians to know.

Isn't that ironic, taxis behaving like Uber rides instead of atraccting us back to them with better Customer Service . . . go figure 🤔

omg

'set fares' gees this taxi drivers don't stop with the scams do they, PS don't book through the 13cabs app either they drive nearby and hit start on the job hoping you haven't taken a screenshot of the fare and scam you for a ride that never happened.

This would NEVER happen in Sydney 😉😂😉😂😉😂😉😂

I got in two cabs within 3 hours doing the same trip and one had a $6.50 start off fee and the other had $12.50. There is a rort happening for sure

Having prices fluctuate according to demand is morally wrong; this is also true for food, housing etc.

I have experienced this - it is appalling and gouging from the taxi industry. Becoming Uber is not the solution to being competitive in this market - foolhardy schoolyard approach.

Taxi drivers and Uber drivers get paid almost nothing for what they do. How much would you want to be paid to pick someone up from Melbourne Park at 4am and drive them home?

And Taxi drivers complain about us using Uber lol
