The Birmingham Business Alliance’s agenda for the 2023 legislative session includes a mixture of priorities, ranging from saving an endangered private college to a long-developing highway and rehabilitating potentially contaminated land.
“Policy is honestly at the heartbeat of what we do,” said BBA spokesperson Karla Khodanian. “Strong economic development needs to be prepared with strategic policy. So, for us it’s so important to be in constant contact with local, state, and federal elected officials and public officials to make sure that the needs and the voice of the Birmingham business community is heard by them.”
The BBA’s main priorities focus their efforts on what policies they choose to advocate for as the 2023 Alabama legislature convenes in April. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
