Rent declines in major U.S. metro areas signal tenants may be maxed out on how much income they can devote to housing

It is always absurd to spend 50%+ of one’s salary on rent because of work

So the predatory landlords have finally pushed the working class to the very edge of survival and now have to come up with a different way to get money without working for it?

Maybe we could cut down our remaining forests and have the government build free new homes for all the millions more immigrants crossing our borders if there is any money left after we bail out California and the nations banks. Umm 🤔 right can't bail out a bankrupt nation.

Let's see if any such decline (frankly, not sure there is this decline) holds.

It's only a matter of time. If no one is taking the expansive apartments anymore, cause they can't afford them, the prices need to sink. I think we are at this point now.
