Re: “Fox’s Carlson uses video to explain away attack — As commentator airs cherry-picked footage, fierce criticism follows,” Wednesday news story.

He claims that the Jan. 6 insurrection was a peaceful protest. Can you believe that? You would think that the Dominion defamation suit would prevent Carlson and his network from peddling lies to the American public. They have no justifiable function and were banned after the horrific mass killing in Las Vegas a few years ago. The deliberate misinterpretation of our Second Amendment by the courts continues, and our country will continue to lead the world in the indiscriminate mass killing of innocents.

This organization has been in the news and in the courts for all of Gov. Greg Abbott’s terms in office, but it has never been fixed and thousands of children in our state’s care are still not safe. The Legislature should make this a top priority this session. Children are our future! Don’t neglect them! This story reports a shortage of beds for foster care children. Where are those anti-abortion activists? Why aren’t they stepping forward to support children who are actually born? These activists claim to be not just anti-abortion but pro-life. The foster care problem sounds like a good opportunity to put their beliefs into action.
