Lisa Cline, chairwoman of the Children's Screen Time Action Network, joined 'The Story' on Friday to sound off about the TikTok hearing from Thursday in Congress

Cline said that exchange also underlines why the U.S. must take action, going on to praise Utah Republican Gov. Spencer Cox for passing a law reportedly requiring parental consent and time limits for apps such as TikTok and Instagram.

"Short of moving to Utah, which has some nice laws that came out this morning… you have to be vigilant, diligent, speak with your kids about the dangers. Don't be afraid to look at their phone," Cline said. "It is not our fault. It is not our children's fault. Try not to get upset with the kids. It's not their fault either. I mean, maybe parents should be better parents. My kids don’t have any social media until they are adults.🤷‍♀️

I have been trying to convince my children to stop using TikTok. But they view me as a crazy, conspiracy theorist, even though I have been proven right many many times. Maybe after I am dead, and gone, and they are living in a one world order, dystopian world, they will get it 😢
