One of the city's top baristas has shared her story as she prepares to open a second location ☕

AFTER finishing her studies at Glasgow University in 2017 Kangni Dai struck a bold deal with her parents which would ultimately pave her way to becoming one of the city’s top baristas.

“So, when my parents came over for the ceremony, I pitched them a business plan to try and convince them to invest in me.” “I always knew that if I was going to make this happen, it would have to be in Glasgow because I had been so inspired by other people like Peter at Black Pine Coffee who opened his place by himself. It wasn’t just Connie’s work ethic that saw Space become a permanent fixture of the Partick neighbourhood, but a genuine love for sharing her knowledge with others who had yet to discover the true magic of executing a perfect pour.

“Our customers started asking more questions about coffee when they came in and became much more engaged in the process. She said: “I had always had the idea for a second shop in the back of my head, but it wasn’t until this year that the timing felt right. “But the ethos for the new shop is the same and we’ll take our core values of quality, consistency and good service with us.”
