Tryst Trading Company launching new signature drip coffee blend from Open Seas Coffee “will be available at Tryst, The Diner, Open City, The Coupe, and Open City at the National Cathedral starting Wednesday.”

“D.C. restaurant group, The Tryst Trading Company now exclusively brews Open Seas Coffee – a Maryland based roasting company crafting interconnected, intentional and quality driven coffee.coffee growers gives us control over the entire process, from bean to cup,” said Constantine Stavropoulos, owner and CEO of The Tryst Trading Company.

Open Seas carefully treats and roasts each bean origin separately prior to blending them in order to maintain the integrity of each coffee’s unique flavor profile. This hands-on approach allowed Stavropoulos and his team to hone in on high quality coffee producing regions and hand select specific growers, resulting in a dynamic blend reminiscent of the company’s original house blend.

Open Seas is committed to social equity in the coffee industry. By working directly with coffee producers, they’re able to decrease the wage gap, enabling farmers to continue improving their product while receiving appropriate compensation. Through the 10-4 Farmers Initiative, 10% of retail sales profits are invested back into sustainable coffee farming projects and communities. Thus far, Open Seas has donated an estimated 1 million liters of potable water placed into schools and villages.
