is a Washington, D.C.-based organization aiming to preserve home affordability formed in 2009 that advocates for the industry on the federal and state levels. Its members include some of the largest public and private homebuilders in the nation.

The Dallas Builders Association has been representing local builders since 1944. It hosts events connecting homebuilders in the region and events such as the popular Parade of Homes that showcases custom homes in the community.Crone said the highlights of his 17 years at the organization include forming partnerships with Operation Finally Home and Collin College, launching new programs and events and leading the industry through the COVID-19 pandemic.

He’ll assist the organization in hiring its next executive officer before his departure July 7. He will stay in the Dallas area in his new role. “Fortunately, this new position allows me to remain in Dallas,” Crone wrote in an email to community partners. “As such, I look forward to seeing the continued progress made toward ensuring that everyone has a roof over their head and an affordable place to call home in our community.”
