An Energy Security Bill that could give Eskom expropriating powers and create additional mechanisms to appeal adverse environmental decisions is under discussion, President Cyril Ramaphosa said in his budget vote speech on Wednesday. The Energy Security Bill is an omnibus bill that will seek to simultaneously amend multiple pieces of legislation.
