Finance group Standard Bank has launched a new middle-market account for R115 a month, looking to sign up South Africans tackling their “firsts” in life.
The bank said the account is launching in a highly competitive market, with an economic climate where consumers are looking to save costs wherever possible due to mounting pressure brought on by rising interest rates and soaring costs of petrol and food, among others. “Achieva was created with all that in mind – to meet their financial needs while also enabling their future growth and legacy,” the bank said.
The Achieva account will fill a gap left by the sunsetting of the Standard Bank Elite account, which used to be its middle-market “gold” account offering.
