Former Zamfara State governor, Bello Matawalle, awarded a contract to purchase vehicles to be distributed to the state ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) at the cost of N1,149,800,000 but left none in office for his successor, Dauda Lawal-Dare, SaharaReporters has learnt. This was also as the governor awarded over N2billion contract to his own company, BESBELMON, which handled at least three projects, according to a document sighted by SaharaReporters.

According to another source, Tanimu Salihu Mafara, the Chairman of the Zamfara Alternative Forum, in an article sent to SaharaReporters on Sunday, Matawalle’s own company, Besbelmon was awarded contracts to construct a two-story building, with 5 bedrooms as the governor’s residence and with a 75% payment of the amount of N1,221,242, 968.93.
