Starbucks recently shut down reports that the company was forcing stores to remove its Pride flags and other decorations celebrating Pride Month.

Fox News contributor Ben Domenech says Starbucks is a ‘generous’ company and that the protests demanding more than $17.50 an hour are 'ridiculous.'

The claim that Starbucks was removing pride items from stores came from the"Starbucks Workers United" Twitter account. The account, run by the union of the same name, announced,"BREAKING: In the middle of Pride Month, Starbucks BANS Pride decorations in stores across the United States."Starbucks Coffee is squashing claims that the company is making stores remove Pride flags and other decorations.

It also claimed,"If Starbucks was a true ally, they would stand up for us, especially during a time when LGBTQ+ people are under attack. A company that cares wouldn’t turn their back on the LGBTQ+ community to protect their already astronomically high profits."TARGET HOLDS 'EMERGENCY' MEETING OVER LGBTQ MERCHANDISE IN SOME STORES TO AVOID ‘BUD LIGHT SITUATION’

Starbucks responded with a forceful denial of the union’s allegations. In its statement to Fox News, the coffee company said,"We unwaveringly support the LGBTQIA2+ community. There has been no change to any policy on this matter and we continue to encourage our store leaders to celebrate with their communities including for U.S. Pride month in June."
