The event will be at The Ashcroft in Whitworth, Rossendale’s largest venue on Saturday, December 9, and is organised by Valley at Work, which connects local businesses. Chair of Valley at Work Ruth Winter said: “As we previously held the event mid-week, we were very conscious that business owners had to rush to attend and then could not enjoy a late night because they had to be at work the following day.
“We listened to award winners’ feedback that said they wanted our event to be more of a celebration so this year, that is just what we have planned – a fabulous hot buffet dinner, trophy presentation and dancing until late.” Rossendale Business Awards will open for nominations on Wednesday, September 20 and there are many categories including hospitality, large business, not for profit and sole trader, with the nominated business selecting the most appropriate category for them to be judged for.At last year’s awards, GrowTraffic not only sponsored the Creative Business category, but also won the Workforce Development title and Director Rachel Weinhold won the Enterprising Person award.
Rachel said: “I had been a finalist for the last four years and each time the winner was very worthy and someone who had taken on much larger projects than I had done. “I looked at the other finalists and I knew I was up against some big names so I was delighted to be announced as the winner.”Nominations are open from September 20 to October 20.
