There has been a fire outbreak at Hotel Ibis Royale along Airport road, Ajao Estate in Isolo area of Lagos state.

Margaret Adeseye, director of Lagos Fire and Rescue Service, said the fire emanated from an open bar in the hotel.“The fire was reported at 16:50 hours on Wednesday and two storey building consisting of 46 rooms were prevented from substantial damage,” she said.She added that the quick intervention of the Isolo and Bolade fire crew of the service curtailed the fire from causing substantial damage.

Adeseye added that another fire outbreak was recorded in Oja Oba Moruf International Market at Ejigbo road, Iyana Ejigbo Lagos.“Ejigbo fire station crew moved in to put out the fire which only affected five lock-up shops in a row of eight shops,” she said.On Tuesday, two peopleThe incident involved a shanty storey building within the estate.
