Of the FTSE 100 constituents, food retail company Ocado Group PLC OCDO, -19.87% saw the largest decline Thursday, as shares plunged 19.87%

BHP Group Ltd. BHP, -3.27%, a general mining company, and non-ferrous metals company Antofagasta PLC ANTO, -3.16% rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks shed 3.27% and 3.16%, respectively. Shares of clothing retail firm Next PLC NXT, +3.43% and broadcasting company ITV PLC ITV, +2.43% rallied 3.43% and 2.43%, respectively.

The pound was down 0.39% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.38% at $1.2296 and 0.40% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.43% at €1.1533.
