Of the FTSE 100 constituents, clothing retail company JD Sports Fashion PLC JD, +4.80% saw the largest increase Friday, as shares rose 4.80%.

United Utilities Group PLC UU, +4.08%, a water utilities company, and food retail business Ocado Group PLC OCDO, +3.34% rounded out the top five largest increases as their stocks increased 4.08% and 3.34%, respectively. Shares of major oil & natural gas companies firm Shell PLC SHEL, -2.05% and defense equipment/products company BAE Systems PLC BA, -2.03% shed 2.05% and 2.03%, respectively.

The pound was up 0.04% against dollar GBPUSD, +0.09% at $1.2210 and was down 0.10% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.08% at €1.1538.
