Published:Cyndi Caffoe's new business, Daydreamer Celebrations, seeks to make sleepover parties memorable and magical by furnishing bedding, decor, and more.AURORA, Ohio -- After a career spent in corporate marketing, Cyndi Caffoe was looking to take a new direction and decided to start a business doing what she had already been doing without pay for years as a mother of two.
“Once I left my job, I thought about what was it I really wanted to do next, and I knew I didn’t want to go back into an office and work for a corporation,” said the Aurora resident. “I knew I wanted to do something on my own, and I’ve always had this need for a creative outlet, going back to my kids having their own themed parties, to working on costumes for the high school play.
“I did these things for my kids all the time,” she said. ”My daughter, particularly. She loved when we’d come up with a fun theme, and then we had to have a sleepover. My son, until he was a certain age, I created a lot of theme parties for him -- an astronaut party, I remember a Pokemon party. The tent set-ups include twin-size air mattresses, bedding, lights, decorative pillows, garland and other themed décor, as well as breakfast trays with lanterns. Customers can also choose add-ons, such as spa features, popcorn, candy carts, and more.
While most of Caffoe’s parties are for girls, many between 9-13 years of age, there is the occasional party for boys , and there are also, once in a while, adult sleepovers.
