New figures from the Central Statistics Office show that median weekly earnings rose to €670.90 in 2022, an increase of 4.1% from €644.55 in 2021.

It noted that median weekly earnings have risen by 20.5% over the five years from 2017 to 2022.

On the other end of the scale, the sector with the lowest median weekly earnings was Accommodation & Food Services . They were also 40.2% higher than weekly earnings in Donegal which, at €540.00, had the lowest median figure for the year.
