P&G reports core earnings of $1.83 a share on revenue of $21.9 billion in the three months ended in September.

Procter & Gamble firmly beat analysts’ expectations in its latest quarterly results, but the news wasn’t all good with some gloom over the sales outlook for the year ahead due to the impact of foreign currency. It may have lessons for the whole S&P 500.

P&G reported core earnings of $1.83 a share on revenue of $21.9 billion in the three months ended in September, its fiscal first quarter of fiscal 2024. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had expected the company to report earnings of $1.72 a share on revenue of $21.6 billion.It’s not all good news.
