Classic car sales have slowed sharply, as President Trump ponders tariffs and Brexit hits confidence.

"When you get to tariffs, right now the importation rate to the US on a classic car, or classic car parts is 2.5% [the same as for new cars and parts]," says Rory Jurnecka, features editor at US publication Automobile Magazine.

But President Trump's tariff threat is not the only issue causing the classic car industry anxiety. The UK's continuing Brexit uncertainty is another factor said to be weighing down heavily on the sector. Yet despite all this doom and gloom, others say that the classic car industry will remain strong, despite current twists in the road. One such person is avid collector Rodger Dudding."I think at the last count I have something like about 430 classic motor vehicles," says the 81-year-old multi-millionaire."If you look at modern day cars, this model or that model, they're all so similar, and they're boring. They don't have personality.
