Alabama coach has stake in 9 luxury car locations in 5 states

Alabama football coach Nick Saban said Thursday he leaves most of the heavy-lifting in his car dealership business to CEO Joe Agresti. Saban was asked about the deal during his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on ESPN on Thursday. And probably to no one’s surprise, Saban said he’s mostly hands-off in the car business, leaving much of the heavy-lifting to Dream Motor Group CEO Joe Agresti.“I have a great partner, Joe Agresti, who is in the car business,” Saban said.

“But I’m not involved in that. I think I’ve been in a showroom maybe one time this year. So I don’t dabble in it much. I have a lot of confidence in the people who do a great job in the business for us.” Dream Motor Group recently completed the purchase of Mercedes Benz of Coral Gables and Mercedes Benz of Cutler Bay, which are both in the Miami area. The company now owns six Mercedes dealerships in five states — two in Florida, two in Alabama and one each in Texas, Louisiana and Tennessee.

Dream also owns an Infiniti dealership in Birmingham and a Ferrari dealership in Nashville. Saban’s son, Nicholas, is part of the management team at Mercedes Benz of Birmingham. One of McAfee’s co-hosts joked that there were 12 people in the show’s studio who would be willing to drive a Mercedes or a Ferrari. If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
