YARMOUTH, N.S. — Danielle Mahood recons she has been in business since she was about 12 years old. Even from a young age, she considered herself an entrepreneur — always making and drawing things to sell. Then, as a young teen she started advertizing for portrait commissions.
After high school she then decided to take graphic design in college as a way to have a career in art. One of Mahood’s older, less advertised murals can be found in the Yarmouth Hospital’s day surgery waiting room. It was created to give children a sense of ease before going into what might be a stressful procedure for them. Once in awhile someone spots her signature on that one and sends her a picture of it.A sample of Yarmouth, N.S., artist Danielle Mahood's work. Contributed
