The party says citizens should take immediate action to reform the energy sector and avoid another power crisis. The party will voice their concerns in all the nine provinces. DA Leader, Mmusi Maimane, will lead a protest outside the Union Buildings in Pretoria. Speaking at a DA press briefing in Johannesburg earlier this week, Maimane referred to the recent rolling blackouts.

“I am asking all the people of this country, fellow South Africans, we will be mobilising and marching. We are calling it a nation day of action. It so happens it will be the last day of the month of March. On the 1st of April South Africans will wake up to a shock that they are going to increase the cost of fuel, as was tabled in the budget, and Eskom had been given an increase.
