Police say at around 8 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 5900 block of Townsend Road in reference to a shooting. JSO's Sergeant Catir says when officers arrived, the man was found lying on the ground with"multiple gunshot wounds." Catir says first responders with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department then arrived on scene and pronounced the man dead.
JSO says Ramesar was arrested after detectives spoke with several witnesses, reviewed video surveillance footage, talked with the suspect and consulted with the State Attorney's Office.
