The museum’s volunteer archivist Christine Orchard said: “When clothes shopping, it's lovely to have someone help you try on a garment.“This photo, taken in May 1960 by Bob Nunn, shows one of the clothing stalls in the old market.“In a way, a market is just like a supermarket, but with many individual traders who can give each of their customers personal attention.
